We are located within 45 minutes from Albany, Schenectady, Rotterdam and Scotia NY, in the heart of beautiful Cobleskill, NY, surrounded by the scenic Schoharie Valley. Shear Design Hair Salon & Day Spa offers our clients a place to relax and enjoy some pampering with seven highly trained stylists, three waxers, one acrylic nail technician, two pedicurists, and one NYS Licensed Massage Therapist. As one of the most established and reputable salons in the area, you can feel at ease knowing that you are going to receive exceptional service.

  every stylist is trained. Stylists here are also consistently updated with product knowledge and current hair cutting technique classes.
• Shear Design's acrylic nail technician has been practicing for over fifteen years and maintains an esteemed reputation among nail clientele for her knowledge and service.
• Our massage therapists are NYS trained and licensed. Offering a variety of massage from relaxation to deep tissue and session times ranging from 30 to 60 to 90 minutes. Both therapists start with a full consultation so that you will receive the therapy that is perfect for you.
